**Position Overview**:
We are currently looking for a detail-oriented **Wood Finisher** to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be working hands-on with wooden components—preparing, sanding, and refining parts to ensure a high-quality finish. Your attention to detail and craftsmanship will directly contribute to the exceptional standards we hold for every piece that leaves our facility.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Sanding & Surface Prep**: Sand wooden parts and surfaces to achieve a smooth, consistent finish using a combination of hand tools, power tools, and sanding equipment.
- **Detail Finishing**: Inspect wood for imperfections, blemishes, and defects. Use finishing techniques to enhance the natural grain and prepare for further treatment (e.g. staining or sealing).
- **Quality Control**: Ensure every part meets our internal quality benchmarks and aesthetic standards.
- **Collaboration**: Communicate clearly with team members across shifts to support workflow, reduce errors, and maintain production timelines.
- **Process Contribution**: Offer ideas for improving sanding and finishing techniques, tool usage, or layout to streamline efficiency.
- **Worksite Maintenance**: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by participating in routine housekeeping and tool care.
- **Safety Compliance**: Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a culture where safety comes first.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Solid experience with wood sanding and finishing (hand and/or machine-based).
- Strong eye for detail and appreciation for the natural characteristics of wood.
- Familiarity with a variety of woods and how they react to sanding, staining, and sealing.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills and a proactive mindset.
- Previous experience in woodworking, carpentry, cabinetry, or a related field is an asset.

**Working Conditions**:

- This role involves standing, repetitive motion, and manual handling of wooden parts.
- Exposure to dust, noise, and the use of PPE (personal protective equipment) is required.
- Fast-paced production environment where focus on precision and safety is key.
