**What you do**

Underwriting Technicians are responsible for developing strong relationships with our brokers, underwriters, and operations partners. This is the perfect role for a skilled professional who is part leader, part innovator, and part client manager. **Some of your specific responsibilities could include**:

- Provide effective and efficient service to brokers, clients, underwriting, claims and credit control/accounting.
- Responsible for supporting UW production by reviewing and interpreting source underwriting materials regarding completeness of required information - including broker presentation, slips, underwriting files and accounts / loss history - and if required, interact with UW/Broker in case of missing information.
- Act as a point of contact for underwriters, brokers, and operations offshore Account Technicians, and support timely and accurate delivery of Quotes, Policy documentation, Endorsements, etc.
- Proactive communication with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactively and collaboratively manage and prioritize workflow to ensure key performance indicators and service standards are met.
- Support continuous process improvement and automation initiatives

**What you’ll bring to the role**
- 3+ years of experience with Property & Casualty and/or Specialty Insurance;
- Experience in policy administration or other core insurance services, with an advanced understanding of the policy administration life cycle (e.g., information collection, policy issuance, premium bookings, credit control, and cancellation);
- Account management experience;
- Experience working in a cross-cultural environment;
- Ability to build and foster relationships across the organization and with our brokers/clients;
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
- Strong time management and prioritization skills; and
- Effective team player
