Warehouse Shipper/ Packaging Operator

We are one of Canada’s leading producers of premium quality food products including milk, cheese and yogurt. We are currently recruiting for a Shipper to join our Logistics Department in our manufacturing facility in Mitchell, which produces cream cheese and other products.

The individual will be required to work all shifts and weekends, as required. This is a full-time position, with a wage rate of $30.39/hour as per the Collective Agreement.

**Critical Success Factors**
- Follow SOP's and SSOP's
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Recording production and storage
- Completing shipping documents and CPC pallet sheets
- Ensuring product quality of raw material and finished goods
- Operating reefer systems on trailers
- Relocating trailers
- Interacting with outside carriers
- Prepare all necessary Quality Control documentation (GMP, PQMS, etc.) as required
- Perform the assembly of packaging equipment (cream cheese and special products)
- Operation of packaging lines
- Cleaning and sanitation
- Troubleshooting of different equipment
- At-line testing
- Pack product in cream cheese, SWC, butter, and any other areas as assigned
- Prepare all necessary Quality Control documentation (GMP, PQMS, etc.) as required
- Any other duties as required
- Possess an 'AZ' driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
- Minimum three (3) to five (5) years experience as warehouse shipper/receiver or related experience
- Grade 12 Diploma as a minimum requirement
- College diploma or University degree preferably in Food Science or Food Processing an asset
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to multi-task
- Basic problem-solving and math skills
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Capable of lifting up to 20 kg
- Basic knowledge of GMP's, LOTO and WHMIS
- Lift Truck certification or the ability to become certified
- First Aid certified an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.39 per hour
