- Design and integrate network architectures using CAN, Mil-CAN, and Ethernet
- Define/document software and hardware requirements for internal/external customers
- Develop System Specifications and Statements of Work
- Ensure that alternative concepts have been identified and trade study analyses have been performed
- Conduct hardware and software testing to verify concepts, and progress viable designs to a production-ready / TRL7 level
- Document designs with detailed requirements documentation, specifications, system functional descriptions, block diagrams, schematic diagrams, UML diagrams, ICDs, test plans, and technical reports
- Participate in peer reviews and design reviews
- Coordinate effectively across relevant internal organizations to ensure support for projects
- Write technical reports and prepare technical information in support of project deliverables and management requests

**Position Requirements**:
**Required Qualifications**:

- Vehicle networks - CANbus & J1939, Ethernet, RS232, RS422, RS485, Video (DVI, RS170, SDI, H264, etc)
- Computer Vision and camera systems
- Software testing and validation
- Writing software requirements and test plans
- SysML and Enterprise Architect
- Designing, building, and testing prototype wiring harnesses
- Experience with typical vehicle automotive systems - 24V Electrical distribution and power generation, brakes, engines, transmissions, heating and cooling, etc.
- Fundamental understanding of open and closed loop control systems
- Experience with typical electrical troubleshooting tools - Oscilloscopes, Digital Voltage Meters, Function Generators
- Experience working with and designing hybrid/electric vehicle control and power systems. MATLAB expertise is beneficial
- Ability to travel (5% Canadian and 5% US & International) and possess/able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
- Must be able to meet Anthropometrical Size Requirements for confined space
