Mad Barn is a leader in equine nutrition, dedicated to developing innovative and science-backed feed and supplement solutions for horse owners and professionals. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced **Quality Assurance Manager** with expertise in feed or food manufacturing and a proven track record of implementing and maintaining **HACCP programs**, specifically **Feed Assure (ANAC) or other internationally recognized quality standards**.

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Develop, implement, and maintain HACCP programs**, with a focus on **Feed Assure (ANAC) or other internationally recognized standards** in feed and food manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with **Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) regulations**, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and other applicable safety standards.
- Conduct **risk assessments, hazard analyses, and corrective action planning** to proactively manage quality and food/feed safety risks.
- Establish and oversee **Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)** and **Quality Management Systems (QMS)** to optimize efficiency and compliance.
- Lead internal and external audits, inspections, and certification processes to maintain regulatory and third-party compliance.
- Develop and deliver **employee training programs** on HACCP, GMP, food safety, and quality assurance best practices.
- Investigate non-conformances, implement corrective and preventive actions (**CAPA**), and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with **R&D, production, and supply chain teams** to integrate quality standards into product development and manufacturing processes.
- Maintain thorough **documentation and record-keeping** in compliance with regulatory and certification requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for quality-related inquiries and liaise with regulatory bodies, industry organizations, and stakeholders as needed.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- **Minimum 5 years of experience** in a **quality management role** within feed or food manufacturing.
- **Proven experience implementing HACCP programs** (not just following them), ideally within **Feed Assure (ANAC) or similar internationally recognized quality frameworks**.
- Strong knowledge of **CFIA and Health Canada regulations, GMP, food safety principles, and industry best practices**.
- Experience with **third-party audits, certification processes, and regulatory inspections**.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and conduct **employee training** on quality and food/feed safety.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Experience with **document control systems, quality data analysis, and process improvement methodologies** is an asset.

**Why Join Mad Barn?**
- Be part of a passionate, science-driven company committed to improving equine nutrition.
- Lead and shape our quality and safety programs, making a significant impact on product excellence.
- Work in a **collaborative and innovative environment** with opportunities for professional growth.
- Competitive compensation and benefits package.
