**_Quality Assurance Coordinator DAYS Shirley Drive, Kitchener_**

**Summary of Position**:
Reporting to the Director of Quality, the Quality Assurance Coordinator will be responsible for organization of work within the QA lab ensuring timely completion of daily tasks. The Quality Assurance Coordinator will work closely with Engineering, Production, Maintenance and Administration to ensure that quality standards are established and maintained throughout all manufacturing operations. Through the effective management of targets, goals and production efficiencies, the Quality Assurance Coordinator will ensure the ongoing success of the Quality team. The person in this role will strive to improve quality inspection, monitoring, documentation and other in-house processes with the aim of continuous improvement.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and coach a team of QA Inspectors ensuring completion of daily duties.
- Hands-on with measurement methods/tools, quality techniques, product sign-offs, understanding of material test certifications, material traceability etc.
- Manage internal quality problems and customer rejected product ensuring proper containment and handling.
- Create and update inspection documentation.
- Participate in 8D Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action implementation.
- Work closely with other departments on improving plant quality performance, customer PPM’s, internal PPM’s, scrap, etc
- Track plant quality performance to set metrics.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

**Requirements**:

- College/University diploma/degree in Mechanical/ Manufacturing Engineering and minimum 2 years of working experience in QA/QC supervisory capacity.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office as well as knowledge of FMEA/PPAP/APQP/MSA and SPC.
- Knowledge of using Mitutoyo CMM and MCOSMOS software is an asset.
- Solution oriented with the ability to investigate and analyze data for problem solving.
- Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
- Produce quality work (on-spec., on-time, on-budget)
- Be self-motivated with a positive attitude and the ability to multi-task.
