ABOUT THE ROLE
The AV Maintenance Specialist is responsible for verification and data entry of AV Repertoire in SOCAN’s systems. This includes but is not limited to, research, corrections, and validation activities of cue sheets received from various sources. They will also be expected to maintain sub-publishing agreements in SOCAN’s systems for music composed for Film & Television ensuring accuracy of collection shares for quarterly distributions. They may also act as backup to the Team Lead including the handling of complex queries and AV repertoire integration activities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle assigned prioritized workload, and ensure completion of cue sheet processing by expected timelines for each distribution
- Compare duplicate cue sheets received from various sources such as Broadcasters, Producers, Foreign Societies, and resolve any discrepancies as necessary
- Research, identify and resolve any cue sheet discrepancies by updating or modifying existing AV Work details.
- Data entry and creation of AV repertoire in SOCAN’s database, including but not limited to researching repertoire as well as interested party information and creating non-affiliate accounts using SOCAN’s systems
- Creating and maintaining sub-publishing agreements on behalf of music composed for Film & Television
- Provide back up to the Team Lead
- Handle and resolve queries that involve in depth research and problem solving and liaise with queries team as necessary supporting resolution of incoming claims from our members and foreign societies using EPICOR’s Case management system
- Proactively advise Team Lead of potential processing and efficiency improvements
- Other duties, as required

WHAT YOU WILL BRING / QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma/equivalent or relevant working-related experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent research and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge or experience in the Music Industry or Performing Rights is an asset
