The Downstream Commercial team is a cornerstone of Cenovus’ profitability and key to integrating its diverse asset portfolio. You will use your skills in programming (Python, R, SQL), and data visualization (Power BI, Spotfire) to help the Planning and Optimization teams design, build, and test automation pipelines for data extraction from diverse sources. You will derive meaningful insights from the data and empower other teams to leverage the data for data-driven decision-making.

What you’ll do- Build data pipelines for key business processes.- Build visualizations to extract insights from data.- Communicate insights to stakeholders.

Who you are-
- Available to begin work in May 2025- Fosters collaboration by working with others.- Enables agility by automating workflows.- Safely drives results by enabling data driven decision making.- Communicates with impact by implementing tools and projects for adoption.- Experience with the following systems would also be an asset: SQL, Python, R, Spotfire, PowerBI, Databricks.

Education- Must be enrolled in a Computer Science, Data Science, Business, Economics, or Engineering Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term-
- New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
