**Job Summary**
The Manufacturing Estimator is part of the estimating team and is responsible for the creation of budgets and firm quotations for the sales group. As part of the estimating team, the Manufacturing Estimator will be responsible for the estimating of ITI’s manufactured products which includes coordinating with engineering, design, purchasing, quality and management teams to produce an accurate quotation.
This role will assist the Sales Support Manager in the analysis of past performance on projects and will provide feedback to aid the establishment of estimating standards for all future estimates based on such analysis.
This is a permanent full-time Position. This position is based out of ITI's Calgary office, however consideration will be given to applicants based in either Victoria or Nanaimo as well.
In addition to the specific accountabilities, the Manufacturing Estimator position will provide support to, and collaborate with, a broad spectrum of the business operations including some or all of the following:
- Sales Team
- Project Management Team
- Management Team
- Supply Chain and Procurement
- Manufacturing and Fabrication
- Engineering and Design Groups
JOB DESCRIPTION - Manufacturing Estimator
Specific Accountabilities
- Review/complete any customer RFQ document package/forms including but not limited to
specifications, SLD’s, SDRL’s, project schedules and other exhibits
- Creation of proposal documents and estimate sheets (material take-off and labor)
- Solicit subcontractor and/or supplier information and pricing
- Strategically prepare conceptual budgets
- Ensure the flow of project information is maintained and documented
- Cost analysis and cost reduction projects
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to develop an effective bid strategy
- Lead the estimating technical review meeting in the pre-sale process
- Lead the hand off meeting in the post-sale process
- Assist in building and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Assist in managing input and data within the CRM as it pertains to the sales support team
- Assist in the review project plans and specifications and co-ordinate complete scope of work with team, identifying risk issues and their order of magnitude
- Assist the Sales Support Manager in the development of the proposal process, structure and format, win strategies, competitive analysis and requirement matrices
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by your manager to ensure ITI’s goals and objectives are met
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar position within the commercial and industrial electrical industry
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Practical, “can do” approach and attitude to problem solving with high initiative and determination
- Eager to take on challenges and adapt to new processes and procedures
- Ability to work in fast paced work environment on multiple projects simultaneously
- A collaborative team player with a professional and positive approach and notable willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Intermediate/advanced computer skills
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be willing to travel
- Valid class 5 Driver’s License and clean Driver’s Abstract
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must have Valid Passport
- Must not be bound from previous legal agreements that would prevent you from working for ITI or prevent you from performing the work that you have been hired to execute

Pay: $60,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
