**Junior Drafting & Estimating Technician**

We are a fast-growing custom manufacturing, specialty construction start-up focused on delivering high-quality, engineered products for the construction industry. As we scale, we’re looking for a detail-oriented junior team member who wants to grow, learn, and help shape how we deliver projects from concept to completion.

**Role Overview**

As a Junior Drafting & Estimating Technician, you will support both the pricing and execution of custom projects. You’ll work closely with our engineering, production, and project teams to:

- Prepare project pricing and material take-offs
- Produce clear, accurate shop drawings and fabrication drawings
- Develop parts and assemblies for custom manufacturing
- Help refine designs for constructability and cost efficiency

This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate who has drafting and construction knowledge and wants hands-on experience in a real-world, fast-paced environment.
## Key Responsibilities
- Review architectural and engineering drawings to understand scope and requirements
- Prepare quantity take-offs and assist with cost estimates for labor and materials
- Create and update 2D/3D drawings and models for:

- Engineered drawings
- Shop/fabrication drawings
- Custom parts and assemblies
- Coordinate drawing changes and revisions with the engineering and production teams
- Help maintain drawing standards, templates, and project documentation
- Support project managers with technical information during project execution
- Participate in design reviews, value-engineering discussions, and constructability checks
## Qualifications

**Required**:

- Diploma/Certificate or Associate’s degree in Drafting, Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, or related field
- Strong drafting skills (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar CAD software)
- Basic understanding of construction methods, building components, or manufacturing processes
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in both drawings and numbers
- Good communication skills and willingness to ask questions and learn

**Nice to Have (Assets)**:

- Experience with estimating or quantity takeoffs
- Exposure to custom fabrication or manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with building codes or industry standards
- Experience with 3D modeling and generating drawings from models
- Co-op or internship experience in construction, engineering, or fabrication

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance

Pay: $36,000.00-$72,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 44 per week
