Catering Production Cook
Compensation: $19-20/hour
Established in 2001, Potluck Catering is an award-winning Catering Company and social enterprise that provides high quality catering services to businesses and private events. Located in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, Potluck Catering is a leader in this tight-knit, innovative community. Potluck also has a thriving social meal program, that feeds over 2000 Downtown Eastside residents per week.
With a move to our new location, and an expansion of our services, we are looking to add to our amazing team. This role is perfect for someone who wants to be part of this a great team and be a key player in ensuring Potluck’s continued success.
**The Role**:
The Catering Production Cook is a 30-40 hour per week position. This position supports key aspects of the day-to-day production and is responsive to the needs of the business.
**Responsibilities**:
- Food production of all items on our catering menu including platter work, hot meal production, sandwiches, and high-volume community meals
- Ensuring product is of a high standard and well presented
- Providing guidance to hourly staff to build their capacity
- An experienced cook (3 years minimum)
- Have high standards regarding production, cleanliness and supporting the team
- We encourage creativity
- A multi-tasker who thrives in a busy atmosphere
- Food Safe certified
- Ready to take on new and exciting challenges as our organization grows
**It would be nice if you have**:
- Previous catering/banquet experience
- Experience in working with high volume cooking

Part-time hours: 30-40 per week
**Salary**: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
