The Plant lead hand is responsible to execute/support the activities planned for production and shipping as communicated by the Plant Supervisor. Responsible for pre-operation set up and ensure the facility is prepped and ready for production.

**Schedule**

The work schedule for this position is Monday to Friday 7:15am - 5:00pm. This is a full-time position working on average 40 hours a week. Weekend and holiday work may be required based on operational requirements.

**Position Accountabilities**
- Set up daily plan
- Organize and distribute proper packaging for start up
- Work with Production Lead to set up the Moba equipment daily
- Verify the ungraded cooler quantities
- Stage all ungraded Eggs for production by 8:00 am
- Ensure that boxes are labeled correctly, and cartons are coded with proper dates
- Verifying quantities of product shipped by referring to pick list
- Receiving shipments and matching purchase orders
- Loading and signing off on Nest run orders
- Pack eggs on carts or into boxes egg grade checks
- Loading and unloading of eggs and packing supplies
- Weighing, listing and labelling of pallets when completed
- Oversea and support the production and shipping when needed
- Gather and stage all packaging requirements at the 840 warehouse
- Ensure all food safety protocols as being met
- Communicates/documents with Plant Supervisor on all employee relation issues
- Support all audits when they occur on an annual basis
- Protect the organization’s value by keeping all protected and proprietary information confidential
- Practice bio-security protocols
- Follow all safety processes and procedures
- All other duties as assigned

**Position Requirements**
- Grade 12 or equivalent preferred
- Strong commitment to health & safety
- Ability to lift up to 14kgs (30lbs) for extended periods
- Experienced and comfortable using computers/technology
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands
- Able to work in a team environment; engage, encourage, and support others
- Pleasant, outgoing personality, with a friendly positive approach to customer service
- Experience in the agricultural industry preferable
- Production experience preferable
- Leadership experience is an asset

**Working Conditions**

The position operates indoors in a production environment that is physically demanding, fast paced with repetitive work that requires standing for long periods of time. The work environment may be cooler in certain sections of the facility, with staff working in refrigerated areas. Proper safety footwear is required and supplied with additional PPE available upon request.
