Warehouse Supervisor

_Brimich is a family owned and operated 3PL & warehousing company. We are a growing organization and currently looking for _**Warehouse Supervisors**_to join our winning team and help lead our business grow and improve._

**Hiring for all shifts**
- **Days: Monday - Friday, 7am-3pm**_
- **Afternoons: Monday - Friday, 3-11pm**_
- **Nights: Sunday - Thursday, 11pm-7am**_

**Position Summary**:
The Warehouse Supervisor directs and oversees the functions of warehouse personnel and assists in both the administrative and operational responsibilities as and when required. This position also requires the individual to work in a dynamic environment and exercise prompt decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

**Essential Functions & Responsibilities**:

- Scheduling and supervising the activities and functions of the warehouse staff.
- Assigning daily tasks and evaluating the work of the team.
- Ensuring the proper and timely completion of all warehouse activities.
- Informs Manager and Transportation team when a truck is late (after 1 hour loading window), delayed or does not show up.
- Inspecting and overseeing the inventory records of the warehouse for accuracy, in combination with keeping track of all inbound and outbound supplies.
- Makes inventory and evaluation reports pertaining to the warehouse.
- Participates in quality planning/improvement activities re: stocking of racks
- Assists in training new staff assigned to shift.
- Participate in developing and maintaining a continuous improvement culture in the warehouse.
- Cross-trained to cover off other warehouse responsibilities as required and/or requested by management.

**Health and Safety**
- Understands and works in compliance with the Environmental and Health/Safety management systems, policies, rules, and guidelines.
- Observe standards for safe working conditions as outlined in the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Responsible to ensure company safety policies are adhered to and safe work habits are utilized by all department personnel and visitors.
- Regularly inspects and ensures the maintenance and safety of all warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Specific accountabilities include, but are not limited to: performing workplace inspections; actively participating in accident/incident investigations; identifying & correcting unsafe acts or conditions; conducting/participating in safety talks & staff meetings; training new employees

**Job Specifications—Skills and Competencies**:

- Effectively lead a team, delegate, supervise functions and keep employees motivated.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to solve crisis.
- Strong interpersonal, conciliation skills and the capacity to network with suppliers.
- Knowledge of safety standards and Industrial Accident Investigation Reporting.
- Must have strong organizational skills, be a self-starter and a team player.
- Must be computer literate.
- Fully capable of working in varying temperatures. Temperatures may range anywhere from 2°C to 15°C in most Brimich warehouses while Brimich Cold Storage buildings may range from 0°C to -30°C.
- Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills.

**Training Requirements**
- Forklift Certification - Stand-up Reach and Dock Stockers.
- WHMIS
- HACCP
- First Aid & CPR level A with AED
- Emergency Evacuation

**Education and Training**
- Minimum 5 years of experience in warehousing facility activities at a Supervisory level.
- Diploma in supply chain management, general administration from a certified college, or equivalent experience _**preferred**_.
- Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF gun/bar coding systems.
