What you'll do:
As a Product Certification Specialist,
** **your key area of responsibility will be focusing on driving Geotab’s global product expansion. This is done by ensuring appropriate certifications are obtained in target regions and comply with testing standards. This position must fully grasp all testing and certification processes involved. The Product Certification Specialist will be the main point of contact with stakeholders to ensure the proper processes are in place to achieve compliance and certification. You will need to work closely with various engineering and product teams, as well as external third-parties.

**How you'll make an impact**:

- Ensure compliance with regulatory certifications worldwide (e.g. FCC, PTCRB, CE, etc).
- Ensure compliance with wireless carriers and key customer certification requirements.
- Develop product certification plans during the development phase of the product.
- Coordinate internal tasks to support ongoing and future certification efforts.
- Review technical test reports to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards and minimum requirements.
- Support pre-certification design and troubleshooting efforts.
- Assist in maintaining a global product roadmap by way of providing certification related information (timelines, quotes, validity periods, etc).
- Research and stay abreast of applicable and potential regulations.

**What you'll bring to the role**:

- Diploma/Degree specialization in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
- Professional Certification in Project Management highly valued.
- 3-5 years experience in project or product management experience in a technology organization.
- Experience with regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with using various programming languages (SQL, C#, JavaScript, Google Big Query).
- Can demonstrate excellent project management fundamentals: effective communication, ability to organize and execute projects, manage multiple deadlines.
