**Summary of Position**

Reporting to the project Foreman, this position will perform all water and sewer activities in a safe and efficient manner. Their focus is on installing pipe, their connections, manholes and other structures.

**Role and Responsibilities**
- Physically demanding work. Cutting pipe, lowering pipe into trenches and performing manual labour when required
- Assist in aligning pipes during water main and sewer construction
- Load and unload tools, materials and equipment
- Operate industrial equipment and hand tools
- Signal and direct equipment operators
- lift and transport plywood and air struts
- dig around pipe and/or utilities
- Roll pump hoses, operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators, and tampers as directed
- Rig up chains and straps to transfer manhole material
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications, Training and Education**
- 3 years of water & experience preferred
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unaided
- Class 5 Driver’s license
- Confined Space Entry/Monitor
- Fall Protection
- H2S Alive
- CSTS 2020
- WHMIS 2015

**Working Conditions**

Workers are expected to do physically demanding work in different positions (kneeling, standing, etc.). The successful applicants will be working outdoors in dusty and underground environments, including sewers, through all weather conditions.
