**About Us**:At SMJ Youth Services, we are dedicated to supporting youth with complex special needs and youth undergoing criminal rehabilitation. We offer a range of services, including community support, in-home care, and 24-hour care in licensed, staff-model homes.

We are looking for compassionate, skilled, and flexible individuals to join our team as **Respite Workers**, providing essential care and support to youth in their journey toward growth and independence.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide direct care and supervision to youth with diverse needs in various settings.
- Support youth in achieving personal goals, building life skills, and maintaining positive behavior.
- Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, and recreational activities.
- Facilitate community outings and promote social engagement.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting.
- Uphold a safe and supportive environment for youth in care.

**Qualifications**:

- College diploma in a related field (e.g., Social Work, Child and Youth Care, Community Justice Service, Psychology) or higher education.
- Valid G-class driver’s license.
- Valid First Aid CPR
- Experience working with youth with complex special needs and/or youth involved in criminal rehabilitation is an asset.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
