**Patient Care Coordinator**

**Our Care Model**

Lifespan has developed an innovative private-pay healthcare model where members are supported by a multi-disciplinary care team consisting of a Family Physician, Endocrinologist, Radiologist, Nurse Practitioner, Nurse, Exercise Physiologist, Sonographer, and Dietician - all certified in their field of expertise.

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**
- Enroll and onboard new patients into the clinic’s programs and services
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up visits
- Process and track medical referrals to specialists and imaging providers
- Manage clinic inventory and order medical and office supplies as needed
- Submit and reconcile billing to MSP, private insurers, and patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EMR system
- Provide general medical office assistant support, including reception and back-office duties
- Ensure adherence to privacy and confidentiality protocols in accordance with BC regulations
- Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and external healthcare partners

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Patient Care Coordinator or Medical Office Assistant
- Familiarity with MSP billing procedures and private billing workflows
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems - ideally Telus CHR System.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Strong understanding of medical office workflows and best practices
- Previous experience in a private medical clinic setting is a strong asset
- MOA certification or equivalent healthcare administrative training preferred
