Fath Industries is looking for a Concrete Foreman to work in a full-time capacity, in various locations throughout Edmonton. The Foreman must be able to align with the company’s core purpose and core values. Core Purpose: Building positive change in our communities; Core Values: Commitment, Attitude and Respect. **Responsibilities**: - Lead and supervise the concrete crew - Encourage safety culture and lead by example in practicing safe work environment and quality on site - Complete concrete activities on company projects and meeting productivity goals - Operating variety of construction equipment such as skid steer - Provide effective leadership, mentoring and training to the staff - Ordering of equipment and materials - Filling employee timesheets, safety reports, and other reports as required - Other duties as required Qualifications & Competences: - 3 years of experience as a concrete foreman in road construction/sidewalks and 3 years of experience in supervising crews is an asset - 5 years’ experience as a concrete finisher is required - Thorough knowledge of road construction for municipal and commercial sites including residential subdivision experience - Experience with construction equipment (especially GOMACO) will be an asset - Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license or above with a clean drivers abstract - Strong working experience in concrete work, reading engineering drawings to acceptable engineering standards - High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions - Ability to work in varying weather conditions - Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently with little supervision - Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends - Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills - Ability to proficiently operate a variety of heavy equipment - Must have valid safety certifications Additional Information: - This is a year around position. - Some travel outside of Edmonton may be required. - Training will be provided for various activities. - We offer excellent wages and benefits.
