Port Perry, Canada McGuinness Coatings Ltd. Full time

McGuinness Coatings is an established and fast-growing pavement marking, line painting and removal company looking for a reliable employee to help with pavement markings/line painting operations.

You will be working on roads and highways throughout Ontario, working within a small team to layout and paint new roadways. This position is for the hand machine crew, meaning you will be using walk behind equipment to install new and existing pavement markings.

You will assist with traffic control/lane closure setups, reading and interpreting blueprints, as well as operating the line painting equipment.

Your job will be working with the paint crew in the following capacity:

- Operate line painting equipment. This will role will begin as a labourer / operator on a hand machine crew with the ability to learn and become part of a truck / long-line painting crew (or immediately become part of a long-line paint truck crew should your qualifications be a match)
- Setup and teardown of lane closures and traffic control operations as per OTM Book 7
- Perform flagging for single-lane traffic flow operations
- Assist with premarking, layout, and installation of pavement markings
- Operate a forklift for loading and unloading of bulk materials on flat deck trucks

Important details pertaining to the industry and this company:

- Must be a team player and willing to work on short notice
- This is a manual labour position, and you will be active in this role
- Hours can sometimes be long, unpredictable, and consist of both day and night shift
- Must be a quick learner
- 25% of our jobs involve out of town travel. In these cases employees stay in hotels Monday to Friday but are home on weekends
- Ability to work in an efficient and SAFE manner on the roads is essential.
- Must be able to lift +50lbs
- Full G license, clean drivers abstract, and reliable transportation is a must. Shop is in Port Perry.
- Must have minimum 3 years actual driving experience.
- DZ license an asset
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate an asset
- Mechanical abilities an asset
- OTM Book 7 training an asset

Job pays travel time, generous live out allowance, single occupancy hotel room, and overtime after 48 hours.

Base hourly rate in the range of $30.00-$40.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. All in compensation package including benefits will be $40.00+ per hour.
