Maples Group is starting a multi-year HR systems transformation with the ambition to modernise HR systems, processes and strengthen the integration of HR Data within the rest of the company.

The HRIS Manager is the main HR Systems Subject Matter Expert representing HR interests, and bringing HR industry best practices to the table. Working closely with our partners and vendors, the HRIS Manager will ensure the HR requirements and vision are understood and met.

**About the Role**

The HRIS Manager will report to the Director of HR Operations and leads a team of two HR Data and Reporting Specialists.

Working closely with the HR Shared Services team, and our partners in Business Information Systems, the HRIS Manager is responsible for HR Systems Support, Systems Implementations, HR analytics and daily operations of the company HR systems.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

- Creates HR Systems short
- and long-term roadmap and project manage the deployment of the new HRIS system enhancements, including new processes and reporting
- Identify opportunities for automation and reduction of manual processes across the HR team in conjunction with our HRIS roadmap and leadership
- Act as an internal project manager for the requirements-gathering, testing and acceptance phases of projects involving HR systems & data
- Facilitate meetings/workshops and engage the participation of appropriate staff to drive project completion
- Training, coaching, developing and leading the HR Systems and Data Team
- Keep up-to-date on HR system enhancements, regulatory changes, state and local requirements and new releases that would be beneficial to implement
- Develop & Manage documentation of system-related procedures and business rules

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience supporting a Workday (or similar global cloud HRIS) implementation is essential
- Minimum 3 years of HRIS management and supervisory experience required, with proven ability to foster an environment of positive employee engagement and trust.
- Experience in support and maintenance of end-to-end HRIS services including but not limited to Recruiting, HR, Time and Attendance, Payroll, Benefits and ATS.
- Experience with ServiceNow or other leading Case management systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Business systems/computer science an asset

- Process oriented and enjoy creating process and structure where there may be ambiguity and be skilled at finding creative solutions to non-obvious problems
- Detail oriented, love multi-tasking and have excellent follow through skills
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to influence and build relationships in a diverse environment (English & French preferred)
- Attention to detail, professionalism and a team-first mentality
