Stem Spring Camp Instructor

Camp Instructors are responsible for running our STEM Spring camps. Instructor will ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to; lead STEM activities, project building and games with groups of children (age 7-13); organize camp supplies and equipment; set-up and clean-up duties; as well as other duties as required for camps to operate smoothly.
**What you will do**:
- Lead in-person STEM Spring camps at Recreation Centers around lower mainland in a fun and engaging way.
- Help kids build their hands-on projects and troubleshoot issues.
- Exercise your creativity and help run fun activities
- Gain experience in marketing, customer engagement, and other activities as needed
- Prepare science project kits and science demonstrations for camp use
- Adhere to all EngKidz's Camps’ policy and procedure
- Supervise children and youth ages 7-13
- Administer care in emergency and first aid incidents, exercising sound judgment and leadership, and defer to supervisors when appropriate
- Pre and post camp set up and clean up duties
- Other duties as necessary
**Qualifications**:
- Previous children’s programming experience
- Previous coaching or instructing experience
- Experience working with children and youth in group settings
- Class 5 or 7 driver's license and able to drive to various locations around Lower Mainland
- Outgoing and enthusiastic personality
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize safety, while creating fun and memorable experiences for camp participants
- Ability to positively manage behavioural challenges
- Ability to remain calm in emergency situations
- Criminal Record Check, with a Vulnerable Sector Check
- Current Standard First Aid Certification with CPR-C + AED
- Ability to use personal cell phone for work purposes, including data required
**Contract Length**:
- 2 weeks: March 17 - 28
- Full-time and Part-time hours available
- Possibility to extend employment to Spring term and Summer Camps depending on performance and availability
