**Overview**
**Duties** & **Responsibilities**:
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, providing them with comfort and support throughout their visit.
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for various dental procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists during dental procedures
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, following safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Cleardent, Tracker or Dentrix.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area according to infection control protocols.
- Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) as instructed by the dentist.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
- Perform basic laboratory procedures, including pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and taking impressions.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order as needed.
- Participate in maintaining and upkeeping of the clinic in a pleasant and comfortable condition.
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and patient check-in/check-out processes.
- Must ensure patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
**Skills**
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and procedures.
- Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Cleadent, Tracker or Dentrix is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Experience in Implant or orthodontics is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist is advantageous.
