**Summary**

This role is accountable for the daily operations of the shipping department including all incoming and outgoing shipments. The role supports replenishment buys for both production and maintenance requirements.

Additionally, this role is accountable for overseeing and directing Union members.

**Job Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Plan and direct daily operations of the shipping department to effectively and efficiently use departmental resources.
- Work closely with production control to understand current and upcoming demands within the departments.
- Work well cross-functionally with production supervisory staff and quality department personnel to ensure customer ship dates are met.
- Generate BOL’s and packing slips and clear loads for cross border delivery (generate customs clearance documents).
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and enforce the same with Union personnel.
- Support replenishment of material and services for the organization and maintain ERP with current relevant costs.
- Stay up to date on regulations and tariffs related to cross-border shipments

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3-5 years supervisory experience in a shipping receiving role.
- Excellent time management skills including priority setting.
- Must be computer proficient including effective use of Microsoft components (word / excel / outlook).
- Working Conditions: Fast paced shipping and receiving department with purchasing accountabilities.
- Overtime as required.
- Lifting or moving up to 40lbs may be required.
- Preference will be considered for those with a DZ license.
