Inventory Coordinator, Purchase Order

**Summary**:
Reporting to the Planning & Inventory Manager, the Inventory Coordinator will execute tasks related to purchase order creation, submission, follow-up, min/max management and store transfer order creation. This position ensures that inventory arrives at the distribution center and retail locations in a timely manner. This position has a significant impact on sales, turn performance, and plays a key role in the timely arrival and distribution of Cabela’s inventory.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create purchase orders for domestic and international vendors.
- Track and follow up on over-the-road, rail, and ocean (direct import) purchase orders/shipments.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure delivery timelines and shipping quantities are accurate, while also managing back-orders to maintain purchase order accuracy and integrity.
- Manage all supply chain resolution inquiries by collaborating with the Supply Chain team to resolve any purchase order related discrepancies.
- Track promotional inventory to guarantee inventory availability.
- Update and maintain various Excel-based tools and trackers.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in business administration or an equivalent combination of related education and experience is an asset
- Administrative experience preferred
- Supply chain experience an asset
- Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work internal and external partners
- Proven ability to work in a dynamic, continuous-improvement environment
