**Job description**

We are looking for a full time Licensed Dental Assistant to work the hours of Monday - Thursday, 8am - 4pm. This is a key role in our small and growing practice, to replace our retiring Assistant.

Five years or more dental assisting experience is considered an asset however not required. We are happy to offer 5 weeks of paid annual leave, with many other perks such as bonus pay, health and dental benefits, and parking subsidies.

The responsibilities and profile we are seeking:

- Meet and greet patients and ensure their comfort
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare / take down treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take dental x-rays
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform intra oral scanning
- Perform basic laboratory tasks
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
- Ordering supplies
- Ensure IPC Protocols and MSDS records are kept up to date
- Active engagement and continuing education

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a dental assistant program
- X-ray certification required
- Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software is an asset
- Proficiency in Open Dental software is an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, and the ability to be self-directed
- Strong teamwork skills in the areas of collaboration, motivation and creative problem-solving

Pay: $30.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
