With a population of approximately 6,700 residents, the District of Hope is committed to sustainable development, economic resilience, and community-focused planning. As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Community Development Department as either a Planner I or Planner II, depending on qualifications and experience.

Reporting to the Director of Community Development, the Planner I or Planner II supports a wide range of current and long-range planning activities to help guide the District’s growth and development in alignment with community goals and provincial legislation. As a smaller organization, the District of Hope offers the unique advantage of variety. You will gain exposure to a wide range of planning tasks and have opportunities to be public facing, interacting with residents, developers, and stakeholders.

The wage rate for the Planner I position is $44.83 per hour; and for the Planner II position, $49.60 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package including Municipal Pension Plan.
