**HEAVY DUTY/ EQUIPMENT MECHANIC POSITIONS - with specialized experience in Diesel powered work boats (Red Seal)**

If you thrive on Success and teamwork in a team culture. ICD will provide rewarding and challenging work that will help you grow your skills and career. ICD is currently seeking a Journeyperson/ Red Seal Heavy Duty/ Equipment Mechanic to support our growing needs.

This position is a (14) day rotation, working twelve (12) hour shifts per day.

**Position Requirements**:

- Red Seal Heavy Equipment/ Journeyman and/ or Heavy-Duty Mechanic certificate
- MVI Certificate an asset: not a requirement
- A Valid Driver's License with clean drivers abstract
- Marine experience asset
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work closely in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task
- Manual dexterity

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform planned preventative maintenance activities and repairs on all types of heavy equipment and fleets.
- Perform Running Maintenance repairs on various types of heavy equipment and fleets.
- Rotate through shop and field assignments as required.
- Perform large component replacements.
- Inspecting, diagnosing and performing major and minor repair work on diesel powered work boats and other related equipment.
- Inspecting, adjusting, and replacing necessary equipment, units, and related parts in the performance of repair and maintenance work.
- Performing field and shop repairs to disabled equipment as needed and appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and equipment deficiencies.
- Work in compliance with Company Health & Safety policies and OHSA standards
- Participate in safety programs and adhere to on-site safety orientations and standards
- Safely operate company provided equipment.
- Troubleshooting of engine, hydraulic, electrical, braking and powertrain systems.
- Operating Heavy Equipment when required.
