**Position Summary**:
The Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial accounting and reporting activities for AGNORA Ltd. and its U.S. subsidiary. This role ensures compliance with Canadian and U.S. regulatory and tax requirements, manages day-to-day accounting operations, and supports executive leadership with accurate financial insights. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller plays a key role in budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance function.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead the month-end and quarter-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and general ledger management.
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, as well as US foreign subsidiary accounting and compliance requirements.
- Prepare timely and accurate interim and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable standards.
- Assist in preparation of the annual budget and forecast in collaboration with the CFO
- Manage the budget throughout the year and review variances
- Coordinate the annual audit process and support the preparation of Canadian and U.S. tax returns with external auditors and accountants.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian tax reporting obligations and maintain awareness of relevant U.S. Federal and State requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal financial controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency within the accounting department.
- Manage reporting of capital assets
- Provide accurate and insightful financial reports to management to support decision-making.
- Partner with Purchasing, Engineering, Production, and Logistics to support inventory counts, valuation, capital planning, and financial analysis.

**Qualifications**:

- CPA designation required.
- 5- 10 years progressive financial and accounting experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards, direct and indirect tax compliance.
- Exposure to U.S. GAAP and U.S. Federal/State tax compliance considered a strong asset.
- Experience with transfer pricing between Canadian and US operations considered an asset
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV_/_Business Central preferred
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI an asset.
- Strong decision making, problem-solving and communication skills
- High level of professional judgement, discretion and attention to detail
