Title: Daily Operations Associate & Event Team Lead

Reports To: Service and Events Coordinator

Summary:
From the first point of contact to the last bite, _Little Mushroom Catering & Dining Lounge _(LMC) is the leader in socially responsible, environmentally sustainable, and innovative food service throughout Southwestern Ontario.

The Daily Operations incumbent will be responsible for providing assistance to the Events and Service Coordinator with aspects of cleaning, organizing and packing for events in our facility located in Cambridge, ON. The incumbent will also be responsible for conducting drops and pick up for our food and equipment in our fleet of service vehicles. This is a great position for anyone with interest in catering, service or culinary fields.

The Event Team Lead role is responsible for front-line service and accommodation of clients and guests at our events. The main responsibility of the Event Team Lead is to delegate tasks to service staff on site and ensure client requests are fulfilled. Additionally, the Event Team Lead role provides support to department leaders by acting as a designate in their absence. The Event Team Lead demonstrates accountability and leadership to their fellow employees. Responsibilities for this role include driving our vans to and from events, event service, tending bar and bussing tables, in addition to setup and cleanup at events. Adaptability, teamwork and strong customer service skills are essential to success in this role.

Job Duties:

- Assist with cleaning, organizing and tidying servery, office, kitchen and scullery areas.
- Washing laundry using on-site domestic laundry equipment.
- Wrapping and polishing cutlery for storage and/or use.
- Disposing of recycling and garbage to appropriate waste receptacles.
- Assist service department with packing and unpacking weekend events.
- Wrapping dishes and polishing flatware.
- Driving the Company vehicles to deliver and set up for events and return to pick up dishes and equipment.
- Provide front-line service to guests and customers at our events, including food service, bar service and bussing tables (where appropriate)
- Participate in event setup and cleanup activities
- Maintain positive interactions with guests, clients, customers and co-workers
- Attain working familiarity with event menus and services being provided by our company
- Maintain event space in a clean and professional manner at all times, ensuring proper tools and equipment are available when needed
- Protect the health and safety of others by adopting safe work practices and reporting unsafe conditions immediately
- Other reasonable duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Legal Eligibility to Operate Company Vehicle (Driver’s license and over 25 years of age for insurance), Full G license (not G1 or G2) with a clean driving record
- Smart Service Certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Punctuality and attendance, Communication skills, Positive attitude, Strong work ethic
- Ability to lift and carry tables and crates
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Flexibility/Adaptability

Preferred Qualifications:

- Highschool or GED Equivalent
- Prior hospitality experience
- Prior experience with similar role

Contract length: 9 months

Pay: $19.00-$21.30 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week

- Weekends as needed
