- **RDJ Bakeries Ltd**_ is currently looking for a Sanitation Team Lead to join our growing Day shift team.
**Job purpose**
The Sanitation Team Lead High Ridge is responsible for ensuring that High ridge Sanitation department runs smoothly and efficiently, for daily housekeeping and line cleans. They will oversee the sanitation workers/operation for High ridge location and make sure that they are performing their duties correctly. The supervisor will also keep track of the supplies and equipment used by the department and make sure that everything is in good working order.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
The associate’s primary functions and responsibilities are as follows:
- Directly responsible for monitoring day-to-day responsibilities of Daily housekeeping sanitarians (all shifts including weekend) and supervise line clean workers during scheduled equipment cleans.
- Create plan for line clean changeovers, shutdown/startups.
- Determine line cleaning schedule including but not limited to Equipment, framework, ovens etc as per Master Cleaning Schedule.
- Determine number of workers required for each clean.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Production and Scheduling for line cleans.
- Work in conjunction with Quality supervisor and department to meet environmental program including but not limited to Equipment swabs, Listeria and Salmonella.
- Notify QA for visual inspection/ ATP swab, when required.
- Maintain Chemical and supplies Inventory for 50 High Ridge.
- Scheduling/attendance of Sanitation staff.
- Creating SRF/ERF as required.
- Support timely start-ups of production lines by ensuring all departments and lines are cleaned and sanitized in a timely manner.
- Work in conjunction with other departments on daily and weekly sanitation tasks Facilitate corrective actions related to pest prevention and sanitation Facilitate Spills and leaks policy.
- Develop, implement, validate, provide training on proper sanitation practices.
- Partner with operations departments to meet line clean expectations.
- Ensure that cleaning tasks are completed by following safety protocols in place.
- Report any problems or concerns to Sanitation Supervisor in timely manner.
- Responsible for daily management and support for the team to achieve operational success.
- Monitor time and attendance and ensure compliance with Company Procedures.
- Approve the vacation requests.
- Carry out incident, accident and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closure.
- Issue disciplinary action when needed.
- Performs other task/duties as assigned or required.
- Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.
- Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
**Qualifications**:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to lead and motivate a team, and knowledge of sanitation best practices.
- Partner with and help coordinate cleaning activities of all departments.
- Coach sanitation workers on job performance, expectations, and safety issues.
- Performs other task/duties as assigned or required.
- Possess related experience with sanitation.
- Must be self-starting.
- Must be able to follow written and verbal communication.
- Must have a good understanding of the English language.
- Must be able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Must be able to lift 5-10 lb.
- Great attention to detail with accuracy.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, including multitasking.
**Working conditions**:
- May be exposed to very hot temperatures from ovens.
- May work close to others, usually within a few feet.
- Occasionally wear safety equipment such as gloves, hair nets, and beard nets.
- Straight shift work.
**Physical requirements**:
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Able to move quickly to various inspection and assessment areas.
- Bend or twist their body.
- Use their hands to handle, control, or feel products.
