**ACCOUNTING** **MANAGER**

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Manager is a senior leader in the accounting department, responsible for
- Managing all aspects of accounts payable and monthly tax reporting.
- Supporting financial reporting.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement, assisting with implementation as required.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Accounts Payable**
- Manage accounts payable for dual properties, ensuring payments to suppliers are approved, accurate and current.
- Provide guidance to all Leaders to enhance their understanding and support of the hotel payment process and policies.
- Complete cheque-runs & online payments semi-monthly.
- Supervise Accounts Payable Assistant, ensuring workload is appropriately delegated.
- Manage processing and payment of the corporate Visa account.
- Oversee expense reporting process, reporting discrepancies with policy

**Financial Reporting**
- Assist preparation of the monthly financial reports for dual properties.
- Complete general bank reconciliations for both properties, preparing adjustment entries as required.
- Review all Wall Centre Richmond balance sheet accounts, preparing adjusting entries as required.
- Maintain monthly account summaries including utilities, sales trips
- Assist in reconciliation of various accounts for dual properties.

**Tax** **Reporting**
- Reconcile and process payment for all provincial, federal and municipal taxes, in accordance to their respective reporting requirements.

**Other**
- Provide guidance to accounting associates, in respect to accounts payable and general tax inquiries.
- Vacation relief for Payroll Manager
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for improved efficiency and/ or internal controls. Assist the Director of Finance in implementing changes to process
- Ad hoc duties assigned by the Director of Finance.

- Job Requirements/Qualifications:

- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must possess a strong understanding of the accounting cycle and generally accepted accounting principles. Enrolment in CPA program is preferred.
- Able to multi-task, manage time and handle complex issues in a fast-paced dynamic environment while maintaining positive, flexible and open-minded outlook.
- Detail oriented, highly organized and able to work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, Sage Intacct and Lightspeed POS
- Salary/Wage: $85,000 Annually
