**Church Administrator / Bookkeeper**
**Who we are**: A Christian community of faith in Toronto, established in 1980. Our mission is to help people grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ and live their lives according to his teachings.
This role is responsible for the financial and administrative operations of the church. Key duties include managing day-to-day finances, maintaining the church facility, and providing general administrative support.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Financial Administration**: Handle daily bookkeeping, including bank reconciliation, donation tracking, and payment processing. Prepare financial reports, assist with budget planning, and support annual audits and CRA filings (T3010, T4A, etc.).
- **Building & Vendor Management**: Coordinate routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections for the church facility. Manage contracts with external vendors and service providers (e.g., janitorial, landscaping).
- **Administrative Support**: Provide general office support, including answering phones, managing calendars, and greeting visitors. Coordinate communications, assist with planning events, and prepare for meetings, including the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
**Skills & Qualifications**:
- Strong bookkeeping skills with knowledge of CRA compliance for charities.
- Proven experience in financial reporting and supporting audits.
- Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with accounting software like QuickBooks is a plus.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Indonesian is an asset.
**Working Hours**:
- Monday-Friday: 39 hours per week.
- Sunday: 1 hour.
**Salary**: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
**Closing Date**: August 15, 2025.
Pay: $34,807.88-$43,000.00 per year
