This is a full-time position as an **Advanced Canning Technician**, whose responsibilities include setting up and breaking down equipment, ensuring all Clean-In-Place procedures meet Canning Collective standards, and operating and maintaining the canning line. **Packaging Technician/Canning Line Operator Compensation**:

- $24 per hour

**Packaging Technician/Canning Line Operator Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Transport, set up, and take down heavy equipment in a box truck to and from canning runs
- Perform chemical mixing and sanitation procedures
- Set up and troubleshoot equipment such as labelers and date coders
- Conduct consistent quality checks
- Ensure equipment cleanliness and compliance with Canning Collective standards
- Fully understand company policies and rules
- Collaborate effectively with other technicians and brewery staff
- Safely and efficiently operate heavy packaging machinery
- Perform packaging machinery repair and maintenance
- Take mandatory lunch breaks

**Packaging Technician/Canning Line Operator Supervisory Responsibilities**:
Advanced Canning Technicians are expected to operate independently, manage customer interactions, and provide direction to technicians on site.

**Packaging Technician/Canning Line Operator Required Skills/Abilities**:

- Understanding of mechanics
- Ability to learn onsite
- Multitasking and strong communication skills
- Physical ability to pull 150-lb. pallets of cans, push an 800-lb. canning line into place (on wheels), remain on your feet for 8-12 hour shifts, and perform other physical tasks as required
- Flexible schedule: Week-to-week schedules may vary, depending on the breweries scheduled. Long hours and overnight stays may be required.
- Hardworking with pride in your work, self-motivation, attention to detail, and a positive attitude
- Quick learner: Ability to adapt to improving procedures and processes
- Beer knowledge: Experience in home brewing or working in a brewery is an asset, as is a general appreciation for craft beer

**Education and Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 4-year college degree preferred but not required
- One year of packaging machine operator experience preferred but not required

**Physical Requirements**:

- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts
- Occasional exposure to various conditions at job sites, including loud noise, high and low temperatures, and confined working areas

**Physical Demands**:

- Ability to continuously stand or walk
- Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift frequently
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to push/pull up to 800 pounds on wheels
- Ability to perform repetitive motion functions in support of canning line operations

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual, Seasonal

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
