**We are hoping to commence training the selected individuals ASAP**
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Registers, processes and greets customer promptly.
- Provides quality service to the customer by responding to their requests promptly, efficiently and courteously during check-in, check-out and throughout stay.
- Arranges for special services requested by the customer
- Arranges fulfillment of customer services by working with all departments
- Minimizes loss of revenue by adhering to all established credit and inventory control procedures.
- Ensures all customers establish credit upon check-in
- Monitors customer accounts to insure adherence to hotel credit limits by completing high balance report and verifies accuracy of registration information.
- Verifies all information on reservations check-in; name, address, method of payment, etc.
- Completes shift closing accurately by getting appropriate approval signatures and authorization codes.
- Corrects errors and discrepancies on any guest accounts and resolves guest issues to the guest’s satisfaction.
- Work closely with GSM and Accounting Supervisor on any audit discrepancies.
During Night Audit shifts, the added duties will include:
- Balance various methods of payment, room charges and all other postings as required
- Prepare corresponding reports to various management personnel
- Run the night audit (including creating a back up of it) after ensuring all revenues are in balance
- Other duties as required
**REQUIREMENTS**:
Must have:
- Minimum 1 year Hotel front office experience
- Exceptional energy and professionalism.
- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Proven effective communication skills and exceptional phone manners
- Must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment while working unsupervised
- Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented and display organizational skills
- Must take initiative within guidelines and utilize problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail, order and cleanliness.
Nice to have:
- Ability to work with and understand financial information, demonstrate basic arithmetic functions and accurately input data into various reports
- Knowledge of a hotel Property Management System (preference will be given to those with FOSSE experience)
- Bilingual (speaking French would be an asset)
