HeadQuarters is an airy cafe/restaurant, serving elevated bistro style cuisine. The multifaceted venue space includes a turfed outdoor patio and modern indoor dining, which allows us to host an average of 115 guests each Monday through Sunday. Located in the Byward Market, Headquarters is seeking a passionate, reliable and responsible part-time or full-time experienced line cook to join our team

**Responsibilities**
- Cleaning and preparing ingredients, sauces, garnishes and/or components of dishes on the restaurant's menu.
- Cooking less complex menu items such as cold plates station, assisting with garnishing and plating dishes.
- Maintaining a sanitized work environment and keeping tools clean, in accordance with Ontario health and safety standards.
- Performing regular inventory assessments, daily verification of all ingredients are stocked for Chef to complete menu execution.
- Effectively communicates with Chef any deficiencies with orders, par levels, and overall equipment/appliance repairs.

- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Thrives in a fast-paced work environment with competing priorities.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently, fast learner, able to adapt.
- In depth knowledge of kitchen health and safety requirements with respect to safe food storage guidelines.
- Experience in a restaurant kitchen is required (have knowledge of how to operate a grill or fryer, commercial grade vitamix blender, vacuum seal equipment).
- Behaves professionally with colleagues and clients at all times.
- Embodies reliable and responsible work ethic.
- Available to work days and weekends, as well as the occasional evening or event.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Full-time
Part-time hours: 15-30 per week

**Salary**: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
