MGM Seed & Grain ULC. is looking for an experienced Food Safety and Quality Assurance Technician for its oat milling operation in Saskatoon. If you are looking for the opportunity to contribute your knowledge and expertise in developing and implementing food safety and quality systems to meet or exceed customer specifications, this role will be a great fit for you

1. Qualifications:

- Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Microbiology, or similar discipline from an accredited post-secondary institution with 2 year work experience in an analytical lab. or food Industry.
- Able to work independently and diligently in a fast-paced environment.
- experience with analytical methods (NIR, ELISA, etc.)
- experience with microbial EMP swabs & test methods (Health Canada, FDA, AOAC)
- experience with HACCP, Food Safety, sanitation practices, EMP

2. Work duties:

- Collect and analyze food samples for a variety of quality parameters.
- Maintain accurate and organized testing records.
- Follow and adhere to safety regulations and requirements.
- Communicate effectively with various team members and participate in regular meetings with laboratory/QA staff.
- This job require working on Saturday in evening or night shift for supervising cleaning, sanitation & preop inspection. Be available to work extended hours as needed.
- Able to work on upper floors and climb stairs.
- Able to work around chemicals, and machinery. Wear appropriate PPE and follow necessary precautions.
- Other duties as required.

**Salary**: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
