Front Desk/patrol Security Guard

**Blackbird Security Inc. **is looking to expand their team to service an exciting new project in **Mississauga, Ontario**. We are recruiting for hybrid Front Desk and Patrolling guards.

Security professionals need to maintain a valid security license, exercise responsibility, use caution, and demonstrate exemplary customer service skills. While tasks may vary depending on the client’s specific needs, our guards are expected to
prepare to fulfill the entirety of these job descriptions.

Front Desk duties:

- Open & close the building with site management (closing the building will assist site management, walking the building to ensure all emergency and dock doors are secured).
- Check in all staff/visitors and vendors.
- Review building safety regulations when people first arrive to the building.
- Provide visitors/contractors & temporary employee’s badges when entering the building.
- Verify ID’s when entering the building (Everyone must have a proper ID to enter the building).
- Complete bag and employee checks for all employees exiting the building.
- Assist management with emergency situations (evacuations, power outage, fire drills, investigations etc.).
- Monitoring CCTV consistently
- Recieving parcels and deliveries
- Provide access for couriers and regular supply deiveries.

Patrol Duties:

- Conduct security/safety tours in & outside of the warehouse.
- Assist management with emergency situations (evacuations, power outage, fire drills, investigations etc.).
- Communicate all safety and security hazards to management.
- Regular Site patrols both internally and externally
- Incident response.
- Checking access points and consistent site point scans

**Requirements**
- Valid Security License
- Previous Security experience an asset (6 months minimum preferred)
- Access Control experience is an asset
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous Customer Service and/or Concierge experience is an asset
- Ability to be active and mobile for the duration of shifts as needed
- Previous Warehouse experience is an asset
- Use of Force certification is an asset
- Experience using Microsfot Office suite is preferred

**Salary**: $17.00-$18.50 per hour

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
