Security company requires security guard for hotel in Mississauga, in the Meadowvale area. Permanent opportunities: - Full time - 40 hours per week - Approximate location is Meadowvale in Mississauga - _**All applicants, please ensure you are able to reliably commute to this area before applying**_ - **This site has an outdoor patrol component** Shift timings available: Full time - Sunday to Thursday, 2300h - 0700h Job Requirements: - Ontario Security Guard License - Standard First Aid CPR-C + AED - Experience at a hotel and enforcing site protocol Preferred Qualifications: - 1 year experience in security and customer service - Must be professional and presentable - Have excellent communication, customer service, and report writing skills **Duties**: - Unafraid to ensure all who enter the property have business there - Provide access control and screen individuals entering the site - Conduct hourly exterior and interior patrols - Enforce the "Trespass to Property Act" - Write and submit reports in a timely manner - Respond to calls from Manager on Duty and guests in a timely manner, with follow up occurring where necessary on the next shift - Work with site staff - Liaise with Toronto Police and other emergency services - De-escalate potential situations - Communicate with their team - Be flexible with work assignments - Interact with site guests in a positive a professional manner - Some postings are mostly static with an occasional patrol - Guards are expected to be able to stand for up to 2 hours at a time between breaks and patrols Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Ability to commute/relocate: - Mississauga, ON L5N 2L3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) **Experience**: - security: 1 year (required) Licence/Certification: - Ontario Security License (required) - Standard First Aid CPR - C + AED (required) Work Location: In person
