Bellamere Winery & Event Centre is looking for a part-time Groundskeeper & Gardener to join our growing team.

**_The Role_**

As a Groundskeeper & Gardener at Bellamere, your primary responsibility is to keep our gardens and grounds at their best You’ll be in charge of over 15 gardens and 4 water features that make the setting of our events and weddings magical. This means you:

- Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws
- Trim and pick flowers, and clean flower beds
- Mow and edge lawns, using power mowers and edgers
- Gather and remove litter
- Rake, mulch, and compost leaves
- Water lawns, trees, and plants, using portable sprinkler system and hoses
- Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, and other grounds features
- Operation of powered equipment such as mowers, tractors, chain-saws, electric clippers, and pruning saws a plus but not necessary
- Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge and brush trimmers, and axes
- Work according to all of Bellamere’s health and safety standards
- Support with other duties as may be required

**_What you bring to the table_**
- Availability to work mid-week, weekends, evenings and holidays
- Reliable transportation to and from Bellamere
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Knowledge of gardening products, techniques and tools
- Familiarity with sprinkler systems and other landscaping equipment
- Physical stamina and ability to safely move and lift items up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working independently, taking direction and capable of following instructions
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all staff
- Able to work in a predominately standing position for long periods of time
- Experience in a gardening, groundskeeping or similar role an asset

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15-30 per week

**Salary**: $18.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift
- Weekend availability
