Greenhills Country Club is seeking a dedicated and experienced Tennis Court Maintenance Grounds Keeper to oversee the upkeep and maintenance of both outdoor clay courts and indoor hard courts. We hope to hire someone who will be responsible for ensuring that our tennis facilities are in optimal condition for members, providing safe and enjoyable playing environments.
**Responsibilities**:
- Daily Inspection and Maintenance:
- Conduct daily inspections of outdoor clay courts and indoor hard courts to identify any damage, debris, or hazards.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as sweeping, brushing, watering and leveling the courts to ensure a smooth playing surface.
- Monitor and adjust court nets, posts, and lines as needed.
- Court Cleaning and Surface Care:
- Clean and maintain court surfaces by removing dirt, leaves, and other debris.
- Perform regular watering and rolling of clay courts to maintain proper moisture levels.
- Equipment and Facility Management:
- Maintain and organize equipment storage areas, ensuring that all tools and materials are in good condition and readily accessible.
- Perform minor repairs and adjustments to court equipment, including nets, posts, and fencing.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of court equipment for tournaments, events, and daily play.
- Groundskeeping and Landscaping:
- Maintain surrounding areas of tennis courts, including walkways, seating areas, and landscaping.
- Trim grass, bushes, and trees to ensure a neat and tidy appearance.
- Monitor irrigation systems and assist with irrigation adjustments as needed.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when using equipment and performing maintenance tasks.
- Ensure that tennis court facilities meet regulatory standards and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to management promptly.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or facility maintenance, preferably in a tennis court environment (preferred, but not required)
- Knowledge of tennis court construction, surfaces, and maintenance technique (preferred, but not required)
- Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and rollers.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
