Assistant Daycare Director

Summit Start is looking for an Assistant Director to be a part of our Cityscape team. Being an Assistant Director at Summit Start Cityscape is an unique opportunity to impact the lives of not only our children but whole families, and the greater community that we serve.

**Responsibilities**:

- Be a brand ambassador. You are the face of the company Be accountable and take pride in the company
- Responsible for the smooth day-to-day operations of the facility
- Ensure that the facility adheres to Alberta Provincial regulations & licensing standards, at all times
- Our daycare is open 24 hours, 7 days a week. So while this position will have regular work only during weekdays, they should be flexible and be available for certain weekends, holidays or overnight site visits as required operationally.
- Support the Primary Educators to design and deliver childcare programs that are in line with Summit core values and principles
- Continue to strive for excellence by participating in Professional Development training and being up to date on best practices in childcare.
- Build relationships with co-worker, families and the community by creating trust and always acting with integrity
- Ensure safety & welfare of every child in our care and at all times

**Requirements**:

- At least 5 years of previous experience managing a Daycare.
- Should be well versed in and knowledgeable of Alberta Provincial regulations & licensing standards.
- Strong understanding of Emergent Curriculum.
- Basic operational understanding of Daycare Financials (including AR/AP)
- Standard First Aid with CPR Level B or C Certification.
- Clear Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search conducted within the last 6 months.
- High level of communication skills, verbal & written (English)
- Great personality and lots of energy - You'll need it
- Should posses a Full Class 5 Driver's License and have own vehicle. You will need to be comfortable driving to HQ (Downtown Calgary) for Daycare meetings.
