**Location**: On-site in Gatineau, QC

**Summary**

We are currently seeking a Part-time permanent Dishwasher/Kitchen Porter, required to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays with opportunities for overtime hours. The Dishwasher, under the direction of the Executive Chef.

**General duties**

The NWAC Dishwasher/Kitchen Porter will:

- Duties Include (but are not limited to):

- Ensure clean and sanitary conditions of dish washing areas and relative kitchen spaces
- Provide clean dishes, cutlery, baking & buffet equipment
- Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service
- Responsible for assisting in the receiving of orders from farmers and other suppliers and categorizing and rotating accordingly
- Assisting in organizing stock rooms and other related preparation areas.
- General cleaning - mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, cleansing, polishing
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds
- Physically able to carry out the demands of the position including pushing, pulling, bending, and heavy lifting for long periods of time

**Requirement**
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One (1) year of previous dishwashing experience
- Highly motivated and able to work independently
- Must be able to schedule and prioritize work
- Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writing
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- First Aid skills and/or certificates are considered assets

**Working Conditions**
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to bend and crouch
- Overtime as required
- Hazards associated with the trade, including exposure to common chemical cleaners
