Job Description:
Freshslice Pizza is hiring enthusiastic and versatile Team Member - Cashier & Pizza Maker to join our team at our Nanaimo Ferry Terminal location. This role combines customer service excellence with hands-on food preparation, offering an exciting opportunity to grow in the quick-service restaurant industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide exceptional customer service in person and over the phone.
- Take and process orders accurately using the POS system.
- Handle cashier duties, including cash and card transactions, with precision.
- Prepare pizzas and other menu items following Freshslice standards.
- Maintain inventory, stock supplies, and organize the store.
- Clean and sanitize workstations, dining areas, and equipment to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
- Assist with promotional activities such as sampling to engage customers.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

What We’re Looking For:

- Previous experience as a cashier or with POS systems (required).
- Prior experience in food preparation, pizza-making, or quick-service restaurants (preferred).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Availability for flexible scheduling, including weekends, and holidays.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

- 1+ year of experience as a cashier or working with POS systems (required).
- 1+ year of experience in the food service industry (preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Fluent in English (required).
- Food Handler Certification (preferred).
