Due to the rapid evolution of the market, both retailers and food service customers, efforts have been made. **Maritime Pride Eggs,** **the largest egg grading station in the Maritimes, was built in 2007 in Amherst, Nova Scotia.**

As a Maintenance Supervisor, your primary responsibility is to oversee and coordinate all aspects of maintenance activities within an organization. Your role is crucial in ensuring that facilities, equipment, and machinery are well-maintained, functional, and comply with safety and regulatory standards.
**Responsibilities**
1. Maintenance Planning and Scheduling:
Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to ensure timely and efficient maintenance activities.
Coordinate with production and operations teams to schedule maintenance tasks without disrupting ongoing operations.
2. Equipment and Facility Maintenance:
Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians and staff to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on equipment, machinery, and facilities.
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
Arrange for repairs or replacements of faulty equipment or parts.
3. Safety and Compliance:
Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
Implement safety training programs for maintenance staff and ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain compliance with environmental and other relevant regulations.
4. Budgeting and Cost Control:
Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively.
Monitor maintenance-related expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
5. Inventory and Spare Parts Management:
Oversee the inventory of spare parts and consumables required for maintenance tasks.
Maintain appropriate stock levels to minimize downtime and production delays.
6. Vendor Management:
Coordinate with external service providers and contractors for specialized maintenance tasks and repairs.
Evaluate and select vendors based on performance, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and maintenance logs.
Prepare regular reports on maintenance performance, equipment reliability, and downtime analysis.
8. Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for improvement in maintenance processes and implement strategies to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
Stay updated on advancements in maintenance technologies and best practices.
9. Team Development:
Train and mentor maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration.
**Qualifications**
- Diploma in Electromechanic of automated systems.
- 5+ years of experience in a maintenance management role, preferably in a food production facility.
- Fluency in English.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Experience leading continuous improvement projects and implementing lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong asset: Lean Six Sigma certification (yellow belt, green belt, or black belt).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with maintenance management software.
