Vp of IT Infrastructure

The Opportunity
GTY Technology, a provider of government and public sector focused SaaS products, is seeking an experienced Vice President of Technology to oversee our IT platform, personnel, and technologies. You will be the technology thought leader, working with senior leaders across the company to create and execute a companywide transformational IT strategy.

As the Vice President of Information Technology, you will be a key member of our leadership team. You must be diligent in keeping current with technology trends and aligning those trends to advance our business and the strategic goals of the organization. You must be able to select, implement and integrate technology within a live working environment.

This is an opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company whose business strategies for the IT platform will require someone who is up to the challenge of building an internal IT team, while also utilizing outside consultants and vendors to move our IT priorities forward.
The Challenge

**What You’ll Do**:

- Collaborate: Work with the Senior Management Team on our IT strategy and communicating and delivering on the technology vision for the company.
- Devise the Plan: Develop strategies and objectives in alignment with executive leadership. Maintain a visible roadmap and future vision.
- Connect Tech: Efficiently centralize and unify the enterprise tech and tool stack.
- Build a Team: Manage and build a cross-border team, including remote and office-based staff, as well as vendors and external service providers.
- Establish Accountability: Create top-down accountability within IT and develop a team that will support and manage GTY’s business needs now and into the future.
- Treasure: Manage an annual IT budget of approximately 4M USD and develop your annual budget, as well as track planned vs actual expenditure across your project portfolio.
- Streamline Operations through Tech: Spearhead the technology evaluation, selection, and implementation across the company to streamline all internal operations
- Tailor the Tech Stack: Manage and guide the information technology team in the design and customization process across multiple software platforms, ensuring data accuracy, real-time dashboards and KPI’s which enable our business units to better manage their own objectives.
- Data Defense: Drive our on-going development of a central data warehouse to support enhanced analytics and reporting across the company.
- Optimize the Digital Experience: Organizationally GTY is transitioning to a hybrid working environment. Enhance organizational productivity by refining remote work and rapid onboarding strategies.
- Enable Communication: Ensure a robust communications infrastructure with cloud-first productivity tools designed for efficiency and reliability.
- Safeguard: Work cooperatively with the VP of Security to implement and refine security compliance standards across the organization.
- Represent IT: Serve as the central point of contact on critical incidents, leading the communication, triage, forensics, response, and preventative efforts concerning any significant IT incident.
- Work with Vendors: Consolidation and refinement of the organization tech stack. Vendor contract and license reviews - review and document existing IT contracts, consolidating across vendors when possible.
- Kaizen: Establish a culture of continuous improvement and enhance operational maturity.
- Determine Business Needs: Facilitate and plan exercises to capture business requirements and develop project plans which capture level of effort, resourcing, technical requirements, and cost estimates for new systems across the organization.

**Education & Experience**:

- Proven experience designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementations.
- A successful record of managing and developing a strong, trusted, collaborative IT team.
- O365/Azure and G Suite
- Salesforce
- Project Management software (e.g.one of Clickup, Asana, MS Project, etc.)
- Supporting an organization maintaining a SOC2 or better compliance standard

Location & Travel
This role will be based out of our beautiful new Questica office in Oakville, Ontario or the Bonfire office in Kitchener, Ontario.
