Requisition ID: 141771 Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture. **Position**:Business Analysis Specialist **The Team** At CCAU - Data Engineering team we provide four main services: - Ingest Caribbean region data into Enterprise Data Lake - Provide logical database support to Caribbean region SQL, DB2 and Oracle database users - Provide data for Caribbean region Pulse programs - Host Caribbean region Power BI Reporting services **The Role** Contributes to the overall success of the CCAU Data Engineering team ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. **Some of the key accountabilities include**: - Analyze, create, update and review business and system requirements in conjunction with the respective business process owners. - Support the development and maintenance of EDL data extract DO BI data modeling and Power BI reporting services based on business requirement. - Liaise with other IT team, business lines and third-party provider to support business analysis, review status reports and ensure test results are consistent with approved business requirements. - Provide production support (incident and troubleshooting) for open incidents as a 2nd level support. - Create test cases, document and support execution of test cases for new and existing changes - Co-ordinate releases, RFCs and represent the team in CAB - Prepare and manage Data Sharing Agreements for new data extraction requests - Prepare and perform Automated testing - Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. - Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. - Champions a high performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. **What You Will Bring to Succeed** - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, information system or relevant field. - Experience working in an agile development environment. - Working experience with automation testing. - Working knowledge of databases such as SQL Server and able to create and run queries on their own - Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) - Excellent verbal and written communication and people skills. - Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills. **The Workplace** - We are technology partners who help the business transform how our employees around the world work - We have an inclusive and collaborative working environment that encourages creativity, curiosity, and celebrates success - You'll get to work with and learn from diverse industry leaders, who have hailed from top technology companies around the world - We foster an environment of innovation and continuous learning - We care about our people, allowing them to design how they work to deliver amazing results - We offer a competitive total rewards package, including a performance bonus, company matching programs (on pension & profit sharing), and generous vacation **Scotiabank** **Is this Role not the Exact fit?** Sign up to stay in touch; we’ll let you know when we have new positions on the team.
