Description:
I am an adult with a physical disability who needs help with personal-care so that I can live my life independently. I am fully capable of communicating my needs to you and you will receive some on-the-job training.

This is a unique opportunity to provide healthcare support while benefiting from working one-on-one in a welcoming and supportive home environment.

No special education or certification is required, but PSW/healthcare certification/experience is an asset and you must have a willingness to learn, follow directions and provide personal-care support for an adult male.

**Reliability is very important.**

Available shifts are Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM-1:30 PM. Occasional extra hours may be available or required.

Duties include a morning routine (including shower, dressing, personal hygiene) and miscellaneous needs throughout the morning into lunch where some meal prep and feeding assistance is required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Physical ability to perform various aspects of attendant support including transfers (with mechanical lift), positioning, dressing, personal hygiene & grooming, etc.;
- Punctuality, reliability and dependability
- Good communication skills and ability to accurately follow directions from the employer;
- English-speaking;
- Ability to work cooperatively with the employer, other members of the household and with other employees;
Training is provided on site.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 35 per week

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Employees qualify for any government-funded personal support worker payment premiums and bonuses. Employees will be required to wear facemask for certain elements of care and perform self-screening. Rapid response testing may be required.
