**The Opportunity**:
In conjunction with the Emergency Apparatus Tech HD Mechanic - Lead Hand prepare and issue work orders, documenting work performed using the J.D. Edwards system, as well as clerical-type duties. This includes co-ordinating equipment work with the sub-fleet, and organizing preventative maintenance through the J.D. Edwards System.
- High School Diploma, supplemented by a minimum of one year administrative training.
- Two years experience performing fleet system duties which must include experience with computerized work order costing and parts inventory.
- Competent with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Access & Publisher. Knowledge of basic office procedures and equipment
- Possession of valid Alberta Drivers license Class 3Q.
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
- Ability to work accurately when making a variety of calculations and in transcribing numerical information.
- Ability to communicate courteously and concisely, both verbally and in writing, with both City staff and the general public, often with considerable distraction. The ability to recognize the priority of calls and requests from the field staff and general public, and to respond appropriately.
- Ability to speak clearly over the telephone and the two-way radio system.
- The ability to work in a very hectic environment, under noisy conditions and with constant interruptions and stay focused on the tasks at hand.
- The ability to work with mínimal supervision.

**Remuneration**:
$27.54 to $29.16 per hour.

**Hours of Work**:
75 hours biweekly, Monday to Friday. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
