**Job description**

The Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, Assistant Lodge Manager, and Lodge Manager. **Preference is given to individuals willing to sign a 6 month contract.**

**What You'll do**:

- Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
- Perform a variety of work in the maintenance department including carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks.
- Perform maintenance repairs and services.
- Daily technical inspection rounds and checks on the property.
- Communicate effectively and genuinely with guests, employees and other departments.
- Ground maintenance: cleaning and maintenance of parking lot, garden or landscaping, etc.
- Demonstrate teamwork by co-operating and assisting fellow employees as needed.
- Be knowledgeable in all emergency procedures as required and fully understand the lodge’s fire, emergency, and tsunami procedures.
- Clean and maintain work area, materials, and equivalent, to report defective materials and equipment to Maintenance Manager.
- Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported appropriately and immediately.

**About You**:

- You have a valid driver's license
- 1-2 years of experience in a plumbing background
- Organized with a strong attention to detail
- Arrives to work on time and is present for all scheduled shifts

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $17.40-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
