About Epic Pharmacy

Epic Pharmacy is an independent, patient-focused pharmacy grounded in trust, autonomy, and community health. Located on the west coast of Vancouver Island, we're proud to serve a diverse rural population — including strong partnerships with Indigenous communities. We're seeking a Pharmacy Manager or Staff Pharmacist to join our care-driven, values-based team.

You'll be joining a group of dedicated individuals who are empowered to shape how care is delivered — with autonomy, mentorship, and meaningful relationships at the core of what we do.

Role Highlights:

  • $60–$65/hour (Pharmacy Manager) or $55–$60/hour (Staff Pharmacist), based on experience
  • $10,000 or $5,000 signing bonus based on position (12-month return-of-service agreement)
  • Discounted furnished waterfront suite in a quiet residential neighbourhood
  • Store hours: 10 am–6 pm, closed on statutory holidays
  • 10 days off every 2 months (if desired — real work–life balance)
  • Autonomy + direct mentorship from owner
  • CE support and a full clinical scope
  • Extended health & dental, paid vacation, wellness supports, and HCSA
  • College licensing & BCPhA membership covered

Modern Systems for a Smooth Workflow

We've built systems that support pharmacy — not slow it down. You'll practice in a fully paperless, tech-enabled environment using:

  • Kroll Paperless Workflow & Patient Care Module
  • Pharmasave eCare platform
  • Blist Assist for efficient compliance packaging
  • Vivid Pill Counter for accuracy and assistant efficiency

Our team values your time and clinical judgement — our tools are built to enhance both.

"Epic Pharmacy is a place where pharmacists are genuinely empowered. The culture is inclusive, clinically forward, and grounded in real community care — it's everything you'd hope for in a rural practice."

— Julie, Pharmacist & Former Colleague

Why Tofino?

Tofino is a coastal village on the traditional territory of the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation, part of the Nuu-chah-nulth peoples, whose stewardship of this land stretches back thousands of years. Living here offers more than just proximity to breathtaking beaches and ancient rainforest — it's an opportunity to work in partnership with Indigenous communities and contribute to reconciliation through respectful, culturally safe care.

Known for its natural beauty, Tofino attracts those who value balance, connection, and purpose. Whether it's surfing at Chesterman Beach, walking the Tonquin Trail, paddling the inlet, or watching storms roll in from the Pacific, life here moves at a more intentional pace. It's a place where nature and community are guides, fostering a pharmacy practice that is an integral part of the circle of care.

You Bring:

  • Licensed (or eligible) and in good standing as a pharmacist in British Columbia
  • Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
  • A sense of curiosity and leadership potential
